Learners must achieve a minimum of 6 credits from optional units. Optional areas may include:

Entry Requirement
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification.
Learners should ideally have a minimum of Level 2 literacy and numeracy or equivalent to support successful completion of written assignments.
This course is suitable for learners aged 16 and above who:
- Want to work with children and young people
- Are interested in childcare, early years, or social care settings
- Are working in a supervised role and want to gain a recognised qualification
- Want to progress to a Level 3 childcare or children’s workforce qualification
